AKERT, JOHN ARNOLD Feb. 15, 1927 - July 26, 2013 John Akert was a great athlete and excelled in golf, curling and pool. He loved playing sports with his many friends. He also enjoyed volunteering and spending much of his time helping others improve their athletic abilities. He spent half his life in Flin Flon, Manitoba and treasured his friends there. The rest of his life was spent in Penticton, B.C. John was most proud of his two daughters, Lynne and Tannys. He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Norman and daughter, Lynne.
