BOYLE, SAM BRYSON 1924-2014 (birthdate June 6) Deceased in his 90th year, teacher in School District 23, Central Okanagan, United Church minister in Alberta and B.C., supporter of the arts - OSO, choral music, choir singer, Canadian Armed forces WWII -Labrador, Wireless operator. He was predeceased by his dear wife Dorothy Newton Boyle four years ago, his school sweetheart. Sam had Masters degrees in English and Divinity. Bryson died peacefully on May 16, 2014 surrounded by his family with granddaughter Mekenna holding his hand. He is survived by his sons Patrick (Maggie), Mark (Debra) and Currie (Stephanie); and grandchildren Karalene, Mekenna, Connelly, Bryce and his brother Harry (Gwen and their children Christopher and Bo). We must give thanks for the excellent care he received in Reid's Corner at Sun Pointe Village where they treated him as family. We are ever so grateful and we know Sam cared for all of you too. A Memorial will be held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Okanagan Mission on MONDAY, JUNE 9 at 2 p.m. in the St. Andrew's Anglican Church in the Mission, 4619 Lakeshore Rd. (opposite the Bellevue Creek shopping mall), Kelowna. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sun Pointe Village, 700 Rutland Road North, Kelowna, BC V1X 7W8.
