MALCOLM, MARGARET (MARGO) EILEEN (nee MURPHY) January 6, 1915 - July 17, 2013 Margaret Malcolm, grandmother; great grandmother; great-great grandmother passed away peacefully early morning Wednesday July 17, 2013 in Penticton BC. Margaret was predeceased by her loving son Barry; her parents William and Pansy Murphy and 2 brothers Morgan and Max. Margaret will be sadly missed by her 4 grandchildren Sheree (Ken); Greg (Michele), Cori (Dale) and Michael (Filiz). Margaret also leaves behind 9 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. Margaret was born in North Vancouver where she was a hairdresser for over 50 years. Margaret's passions were singing and dancing which lead her to join the North Shore Community players where she participated in many local theatrical productions. She enjoyed her local and national politics and being involved in local fundraising activities. Margaret also had a passion for cooking up many wonderful dishes for her family. Although tiny in stature, Margaret was strong willed and feisty in nature. Margaret claimed her longevity was owed to her terrific sense of humour and love of family. Many heartfelt thanks go out from the family to Haven Hill and Athens Creek Retirement Lodges in Penticton BC for the wonderful care and support they provided to Margaret. No service by request.
