Frederick Charles Gale, Jr It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Frederick Charles Gale, Jr in Penticton. Dad passed peacefully on June 19, 2014 with his family at his side.Dad was born in Saskatoon on April 30th, 1932, the oldest of 9 children. The family moved to Penticton in about 1946 where he met his future wife Pauline. Dad and Mom celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in November 2013. Dad served 3 years in the RCAF, leaving the service in 1958. The family returned to Penticton where he spent the majority of his working career with Slade & Stewarts Ltd. He retired in 1992 to pursue his hobbies of fishing, curling and handyman work. He took pleasure in helping people and enjoyed participating in the St John's Ambulance Therapy Dog program with his pal Myka. Dad is survived by his wife Pauline, children Grant (Colleen) of Clearwater, Pat (Garry) of Sayward, Kathy (Rick) of Cranbrook and Rick (Deb) of Sicamous. Dad was pre-deceased by his parents Fred Sr and Lucy Gale, and brother, Cameron. He is survived by brothers Doug, Reg and Ed and sisters June, Bernice, Colleen and Marion.He leaves as his legacy 12 grandchildren and so-far 12 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his 4 legged companions Myka and Oliver. At his request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, Dad would appreciate donations to the SPCA of your choice. Our family would like to send our heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Trinity Care Center for their incredible compassion and tireless effort to help Dad and support our family during his illness and passing.
