LAMPARD, Rodney William March 18, 1955 - July 8, 2014 Rod passed away suddenly in Houston, Texas, while on a business trip. He will be greatly missed, and remembered as a loving and caring Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend to all that knew and loved him. Survived by his Daughters, Kyleigh and Kait Lampard, Parents, Bob (Jan) Lampard, and Marian Lampard, Sister Cheryl "Sam" (Gary) Jones, and Nephews Garrett Jones and Derek Jones. Rod was born in Vancouver and grew up in Penticton, where he graduated high school excelling in academics and athletics. Rod studied at UVIC and BCIT graduating with a diploma in marketing. His career allowed him to pursue his passion for sports, the outdoors and community involvement. Rod was instrumental in organising the firefighters cup ski race at Apex, raising funds for MS and the BC burn unit. He was also a big brother, and participated in multiple fundraising events for cancer research and disabled athletes. From their first breath to his last, Kyleigh and Kait would be the focal point of his life. The family would like to thank all of his friends and extended family members for all their help, love and support, in addition his employer and colleagues at Safestart. A Service will take place Friday, July 18, 2:00 pm at United Church, Penticton, and Celebration of Life to follow at S.S. Sicamous, Penticton.
