GORDON, Nancy Wife of the late Alec Gordon of Yorkton, Saskatchewan formerly of Penticton passed away peacefully in Yorkton on August 1, 2014 at the age of 89 years. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lorna (Don) Szabo; grandsons, Tim (Krystal, Zach and Charlie) and Trent (Jana, Keane and Mia); daughter-in-law, Darlene; grandsons, Geoff and James (Kyndree, Taylor and Cole). She was predeceased by her parents; brothers; Bobby and Duncan; sister, Vi; son, Bob in 2004 and husband Alec in 2008. Nancy was born in Rosehearty, Scotland on April 2, 1925, the third child of Robert and Annie Henderson. Nancy and Alec enjoyed thirty wonderful years of retirement together in Penticton until Alec died in 2008. Nancy remained in their home until she decided that Yorkton was the place to be. In 2010 she moved in with Lorna and Don. Family and friends were Grannie's main focus and she liked nothing better than watching her grandkids and great grandkids having fun. She was active and feisty to the end. We will miss her and will cherish our many memories of her. An evening Memorial Service in celebration of Nancy's life was held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Yorkton. Interment will follow in the family plot in the Penticton Cemetery on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Memorials in memory of Nancy may be made to the Salvation Army as gifts of remembrance.
