ASH, EVANGELINE AUGUSTA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother/grandmother Evangeline Augusta Ash on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 at 6:20 a.m. One of 6 children she is survived by her brother Bud Winters (Joan). Eve was predeceased by her husband Paul Robert Ash. She will be sorely missed by her 4 sons, Ronald (Carolyn) Roger, Douglas (Kit), Stephen (Maria Theresa) and her 9 grandchildren Cathy (Greg), Murray (Angela) Ryan, Courtney (Alex), Nicola (David), Shannon (Jordan), Paul (Amanda), Jordan (Vanessa) and Angie, as well as 10 great grandchildren. Eve was born on June 25, 1918 in Rosebay, Nova Scotia. In her early 20's married Paul in Vancouver and raised 4 sons. Eve and Paul resided for many years in Vancouver and Richmond before retiring to Penticton. Eve was an incredible family person who loved her home, cabin and friends. A very talented bridge player Eve won numerous tournaments. She once commented "It was hard to play with other seniors because they kept forgetting their cards." A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at 2954 Paris St., Penticton. Special thanks to caregivers at Haven Hill for their outstanding care in her final days.
