Anderson, Allan E. Aug. 26, 1931 - Sept. 23, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Allan Anderson announces his passing, on the evening of Tuesday, September 23rd, 2014. Al was born in Burnaby, BC, and moved to Kelowna in 1947. He made his living working for City Hall and later became a businessman with Kelowna Industrial Plastics. Al had many passions; he was a long standing member of the Kelowna Gyro Club, having committed fifty-four years of his life to it, and seldom missing a gathering. He was also a long time member of the Kelowna Golf & Country Club, and volunteered on the Board of Directors for a number of years. Both of these organizations meant a great deal to him, and he took a lot of pride in making them the best they could be. Al is predeceased by his brother, Jim Anderson. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of sixty-two years, Nina, and is survived by his three children, Deborah (John) Lewsley of Vancouver, BC, Sharon (Jim) Allison of Medicine Hat, Alberta, and Stephen (Kathy) Anderson of Kelowna, BC, as well as his grandchildren Jenna, Kyle, Michelle, Christina, Megan, and Ryan, and his great grandchildren Emily, Norah, and Austin. Al accomplished many of his dreams during his full life, in regards to his family, his career, and building his dream home overlooking the lake. Allan was an easy-going, honest, and generous man, who lived every day to the fullest and gave everything he could to those he loved. There will be a Celebration of Life held at the Kelowna Golf & Country Club on Saturday, October 4th, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Club's Legacy Fund in Allan's name would be greatly appreciated. To donate, please contact Marcy at marcy@kelownagolfandcountryclub.com
