WHEATLEY, Donald Lawrence Dalemain 1932 - 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce that our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Donald Lawrence Dalemain Wheatley was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, October 2nd 2014 at the Village at Smith Creek, West Kelowna, BC. Donald fought a long, hard battle against Parkinson's Disease. Don was born on March 20, 1932 in Rio de Janerio, Brazil, son of Henry and Gracie Wheatley. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Elinor and his five children and their families: Andrew (Carmen), Debbie (Peter) Boef, Peter, Geoffrey, and Jim (Nina) all from BC. Grandchildren include: Jacqueline, Kelsey, Amy, Gordon, Trevor, Rebecca, Nicole and Jake. His brother Tony (Anitinha) of Sao Paulo, Brazil and sister Rosemary (Donald) Hudson of Connecticut, New York. Don will always be remembered for his love of duck hunting, fishing and camping. Any spare time he had would be spent planning the next hunting or fishing adventure with his family. Don also had a love for Labrador dogs of which he always had one by his side. Don's passion for upland bird hunting not only existed in the field but he was also recognized as a major contributor of Ducks Unlimited Canada. Don embraced every aspect of life, and because of this approach his family also enjoys everything the outdoors has to offer. He will be missed greatly by his loving wife, children and grandchildren.
