LABRON, ROBERT "BOB": FEBRUARY...

LABRON, Robert "Bob": February 21, 1923 - October 27, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert "Bob" Labron at Penticton Regional Hospital at 91 years of age. Bob was born in Duncan, B.C. and in 1941 he enlisted in the Canadian Airforce. He served in England and Europe where he met and married his English War Bride, Joyce, of 69 years. Survived by his wife, 1 daughter Terry Ann Ring (Vic), 4 grandchildren, Marleigh, Jeff (Stacey), Gerry (Girlie), Darin, 7 great grandchildren and his sister Helen Lee of New Zealand. Predeceased by his parents, John Alexander and Clara Marie. After the war ended in 1946, he attended Night School in Vancouver to become an Electrical Engineer and spent his career with B.C. Hydro, retiring in 1981. Bob and Joyce spent many winters enjoying the good life as snowbirds in Arizona golfing. Bob joined Lions International in 1959 and was fundamental in the building of Easter Seal House in Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob Labron to the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities & Easter Seals @ 3981 Oak Street, Vancouver V6H 4H5 would be greatly appreciated. No service by request as the family will be holding a private Celebration of Life at a later date. "Look down on us and smile as we smile when we think of you."
