MALYSH, Sadie: This beautiful soul was born in Hamlin, Alberta May 18, 1917 and died peacefully November 7, 2014. Sadie came to Vernon in 1936, married Alex in 1940 and farmed at Swan Lake, later moving into town. Sadie was predeceased by husband Alex, son Tom, sisters Mary Kotyk, Lena Kucher, Anna Luchak, brothers John and George Koroliuk. Always the gentle, guiding lighthouse for her surviving family - daughter Rose (Ed) Hoffman, Kelowna, daughter-in-law Lynda, Armstrong, granddaughters Teri (David) Christopher, Jacki (Greg) Zehner, Stacey Malysh (Paul Wilson), Nicole (Steven) Byrne, six great grandchildren - Sean, Megan, Matthew, Allie, Jake, Cole, sister Elizabeth Dary, sister-in-law Lena Koroliuk, many nephews and nieces. Sadie leaves a legacy of love, hugs, and friendship. A service will be held Saturday November 15, 2014 at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, 4303 Pleasant Valley Road Vernon at 10 AM, with viewing from 9 AM.
