ANDRES, Ellain: With much sadness the family of Ellain Andres announces her passing on Wednesday, November 5th in her home at the Highlands Retirement Center. She is survived by her loving family: Bev Kingsbury (Bruce, Elanor & Michael), Gerald Meade (Margaret, Kelly, Al, Nolan & Emily), Ronald Meade (Suezan, Travis), Bill Edgar (Chris), Steven Edgar and Michael Edgar. Ellain was born in London, England in 1919 and came to Vancouver, BC at the age of five with her parents, Edward and Anne. She grew up in Vancouver with her family (sisters, Patricia & Winnifred) and remained there until 1980 when the BC Interior became her home. A family service will be held in Victoria at Christmas time, (Ellain's favourite holiday) by the ocean that she loved and so often longed for.
