CLARK, Lois: Passed away on November 17, 2014 at the Village at Mill Creek Care Home. She is survived by her daughter Janice (Bill) Redlich of Kelowna, 2 grandsons Devin (Jane) Redlich of Vancouver and Jeremy (Taeko) Redlich of Beppu, Japan, and 1 great grandson Toshi of Beppu. Also, she will be remembered by 3 sisters-in-law Evelyn Connor and Edna Clark of Kindersley, SK and Pat Connor of Coleville, SK as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ken Clark (2001), 3 brothers, Clayton, Wilfred and Jack Connor, her sister Elise Allen and sister-in-law Ruth Connor. Lois was born to Art and Gertie Connor in the Dodsland Saskatchewan Hospital on June 9, 1915. She celebrated her 99th birthday last June, and even she couldn't believe she was that old! She grew up on her parent's farm near Coleville and helped her parents on the farm until she married Ken Clark in 1940. They farmed in the Driver, SK area until 1968 when they retired to Kelowna. They were always involved in their communities both in SK and later in Kelowna. They enjoyed music and volunteered many hours providing music with friends and relatives, for country dances, community functions and seniors' centres. Lois played the piano. She was a member of the UCW in Driver and later in St. Paul's United Church in Kelowna. Lois was a great cook, and would always welcome unexpected guests for a meal or coffee, no one ever left their home hungry. Many thanks to the staff at the Village at Mill Creek for the home they provided for the last 5 years of her life, and for the care they provided especially in the last while as her health declined. Also thanks to her friend Margaret who visited regularly and gave her many hours of enjoyment and to Donna who visited on behalf of St. Paul's Church. Lois felt honoured to receive Donna's visits. A private family celebration of her life will be arranged, followed by a graveside service in Coleville, SK next year where her ashes will be buried next to Ken's.
