KELBERT, Edgar: July 23, 1941-November 9, 2014 It is with deep sadness that the family of Edgar Kelbert announce the sudden passing of their husband and father at home on November 9, 2014. Edgar was born in Swan River, MB and in 1966 moved to Flin Flon, MB where he raised his family and spent his working years. In 2002, Edgar and his wife Lillian relocated to Summerland, BC to enjoy their retirement. Edgar was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and ATVing. He was instrumental in starting the Summerland ATV Club and was an active member until his sudden passing. His other passion was sports, in particular hockey. He was actively involved with the Penticton Vees Hockey Club as a season ticket holder and billet family. He is survived by his wife Lillian, son Kevin (Michelle) West Kelowna, BC; daughters Lana (Jason) Edmonton, AB; Jewel (Dave) Saskatoon, SK; and grandchildren Taylor, Daniel; Logan, Layne, Rowan; and Eric. Edgar is also survived by his three brothers Walter (Holly) Kelbert, David (Sheila) Kelbert, Garry (Shelley) Kelbert and two sisters Betty (Doug) Cole and Sharon (Bill) Barnes as well as several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life is planned for May long weekend 2015 in co-ordination with the Summerland ATV Club. Donations to a charity of your choice will be appreciated.
