HORKOFF, Andrew (Henry): Born in Canora, Saskatchewan December 9, 1928; passed suddenly at home in Penticton November 30, 2014. Andrew is survived by son Robert (Brigitte) of Penticton, daughter Bonnie (Harry) of Penticton, grandchildren Hank (Jenny) of Shanghai, Tara of Burnaby and Alan of Vancouver; sister Malanya (Paul) of Kelowna; two great-grandchildren (Jacob and Aiden); and numerous extended family members. He was predeceased by wives Alice (1973), Joyce (2002), Evelyn (2013); son Henry (1983). Andrew moved from Saskatchewan to British Columbia in 1942. He married Alice in Grand Forks in 1949 and relocated to Oliver. In 1951, he started working for Trump Ltd., which manufactured power man-lifts for the orchard industry and Snorkels for Fire Departments. The second Snorkel built was sold to the Penticton Fire Department. He stayed with Trump for 20 years finishing as Plant Controller. He then moved to Penticton and worked for the Canada Revenue Agency as an auditor from which he retired in 1989. Andrew enjoyed his retirement and remained in Penticton until his death. Andrew was a Life Member of the Elks Lodge, member of The Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada and the Royal Canadian Legion. In his retirement, he enjoyed his Okanagan lifestyle as well as some overseas trips and wintering in Mesa, Arizona. He was always there for his family and was always willing to help friends.
