SIKORSKI, Albert (Don) April 7, 1941 - December 9, 2014 Don passed away at age 73 at the Andy Moog Hospice House, Penticton after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Audrey, Don was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Tillie and sister Helen and brother Julian. He was survived by 3 siblings, Erwin, (Isabel), Regina, Sask., Gladys (Richard), White Rock, BC, Joanne, (Fred), Langley BC, also Daughters Laura (Dane), of Vancouver, BC, Sandi (Ray), and Donna (Ted), of Regina, Sask., Step daughter Leanne (Iain), Shawnigan Lake, BC and step-granddaughter Lindsay (Brandon) Victoria, BC, also 6 grandchildren, Kayla, Cole, Tony, Sierra, Rhys and Jaxon, and 2 great-granddaughters, Keira and Georgia, and many nieces and nephews. Don enjoyed a lengthy career in law enforcement and Security. Don was a proud member of the Regina Police Force and was very well liked and highly respected by his peers. He retired as Staff Sergeant after 29 years of service. He then moved Out West, working as a Deputy Sheriff in Vancouver for a few years, and also worked for SOS Security, Penticton, for 10 years Don resided in Okanagan Falls, where he was actively involved in the Legion and Okanagan Falls Seniors' Centre. Don made friends where ever he went and enjoyed a good cup of coffee and great conversation and always loved doing his crossword puzzles. He was always there to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He loved the outdoors and you would find him in his yard or his work shed just keeping busy. He also pampered his little dog Pasha. He will be missed greatly. In Memory of Don, a Pancake Breakfast will be held on January 3rd, 2015 at the Okanagan Falls Seniors Centre, from 8am to 10am.
