McCrady, Phyllis Mae (nee Clarke): Of Kelowna, passed away peacefully at the Kelowna General Hospital surrounded by her family on December 28th, 2014. When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want not rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free For this is the journey we all must take And each must go alone It's all part of the Master's plan A step in the road home. Mom was born July 31st, 1926 in Bruno, Sask, she is survived by her children: Daughter Donna Keith, sons Terry(Marie), Bill, Robert(Brenda), grandchildren Leea, Chad, Blair, Darryl, Brayden, Chris and Heather, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis trained and became a registered nurse in 1949. She worked in the Moose Jaw and Kelowna General Hospital until retirement at age 65 . Mom was an active member of the Army Navy and Air Force Veterans Club. She enjoyed playing cards, darts and was an avid curler-twice representing BC at the Canadian Ladies Curling Championships.
