HYNDMAN, ELEANOR FLORENCE: On Sunday August 11, 2013 passed peacefully in Penticton at the age of 90. Born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on March 29, 1923, Eleanor soon moved with her family to Rolla, near the Peace River during the Great Depression. Eleanor married in 1942 and moved to the Vancouver area, finally settling in White Rock/South Surrey. In the mid '60s she moved to Penticton with her late husband and her daughter Margaret, where they operated a small fruit orchard. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Peter Macintosh Hyndman, in 2008 and is survived by her son, Grant Hyndman, of White Rock and daughter Margaret Kinnear of Balfour, BC. She has three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. At Eleanor's request, there will be no formal service. A Celebration of her Life with family will take place at a later date. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the caring staff at Haven Hill for their dedication and gentle assistance given to Eleanor. Fly with the owls mom, and find eternal happiness.
