GIROUX, Godfrey T.: May 10, 1919 - January 27, 2015. Joe Giroux passed away peacefully with family at his bedside Tuesday, January 27th. Joe was born in Toronto on May 10th. 1919. Prior to the start of WWII he had joined the Army and while he was in London he met his wife Tillie. They celebrated 60 years of marriage before Tillie passed away May 7th, 2005. Joe and Tillie moved to Penticton in 1946 where they raised three children. Joe was well known through his business (Westhome Planners Ltd.) as an architectural designer. Joe enjoyed painting, gardening, camping, music, dancing and entertaining family and friends at his home. Joe is survived by his wife Audrey of 9 years, his three children Michael (Teri) Giroux, Suzanne (Bruce) Pearce, Jacqueline (Randy) McDonald and his sister Marjorie Wilson. Eleven grandchildren; Shannon Baron, Christopher Giroux, Ryan (Holly) McKenney, Tony (Angie) Giroux, Mick (Marnie) Giroux, Kelly (Jen) McDonald, Kelsey (Tony) Musico, Jenny (Stefano) Grano, Andi (Sam) Musico, Cameron (Amanda) McDonald, Sean (Karla) McDonald and seven great-grandchildren Ryan Lawley, Nick Giroux, Cole & Avery McKenney, Zoe Musico, Josiah & Shalla Baron. Memorial service to be held on Saturday, March 14th. at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 30 Roy Avenue West, Penticton, BC.
