MOBERG, Hilde: It is with enormous sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Hildie Moberg, at the age of 67 on Saturday, February 14th at Moog & Friends Hospice House following a courageous battle with stomach cancer. She is survived by her loving children Carrie (Andrew) and Bryan (Halley) and devoted grandsons Liam, Griffin and Quinten. Hildie was born in Aub, Germany in 1947. She moved with her family to Canada in 1951 where they settled in Lavington, BC. Hildie attended school in Vernon and moved to Sparwood after getting married to Cliff Moberg in 1968. The family then moved around BC until finally settling in Penticton in 1985. Hildie's number one job was always as a mom to her children which she also extended to many others who also called her “Mom.” In 1994 after her children left the nest, she worked in various positions including PRH, The Bay, IGA and Haven Hill. Hildie found her passion tending to the elderly and upon retirement spent countless hours volunteering at local senior centres. Throughout her life she befriended many with her wit, enthusiasm and love for making others feel better. Her smile, never ending hugs and mischievousness will be dearly missed. Please come and share with us a Celebration of Hildie's Life at the Penticton Trade & Convention Center on Thursday, February 26th at 1:00pm. The family wishes to thank Dr. Richard Tatham and the nurses and staff of Moog & Friends Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences may be shared by visiting www.everdenrust.com
