HART, Edwina Lilian (nee Baalim): Passed peacefully away at KGH on February 26, 2015, one month and one day shy of her 100th birthday. Edwina was the only child of Charles and Jessie Baalim, born on March 25, 1915 in Barons, Alberta. After Charles untimely passing in 1924, Jessie and Edwina moved to the M.P. After graduation Edwina moved to Vancouver to attend the VGH Nursing School. While there she met and married the love of her life, Al Christie. Tragically Al died in WW II. Edwina eventually did marry again and gave birth to her treasured daughter Ferne in 1953. Again tragedy struck when Ferne died at 3 years of age. Edwina never got over losing her.
