KEHLER, Monica: Monica will be sadly missed by her loving husband Joseph and their combined family of six children and seven grandchildren: daughter Sylvia and grandson James; son Mike (Heather) and grandchildren Shelley, Trudy, Michael (Jan), and David; daughter Debbie (Reg) and grandchildren Christine (Mike) and Derek; daughter Barbara (Andy); son Patrick; daughter Carrie (Wade). She was also blessed to have four great grandchildren: Brandon, Elizabeth, Julia and Michael. Monica was born to Annette and Gerard Gauvin in St. Paul, Alberta in 1934, the third of nine children; she leaves to mourn her sisters and brothers: Terry, Rose-Anna, Hector, Hortense, Omer and Suzanne. Sisters Angeles and Marie Claire preceded her. A prayer service will take place Monday, March 9, 7:00 pm and a Funeral Mass Tuesday, March 10, 11:00 am at St. Pius X Church, 1077 Fuller Ave., Kelowna. Ash interment will take place at a later date in Edmonton. Monica passed away after a very brave and dignified battle with cancer. The family would like to thank all the wonderful friends of the Sandalwood community as well as the amazing nurses and caregivers from Kelowna Hospice House.
