SWERTZ, Joseph: Passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the age of 87. Survived by his loving wife Velia of 52 years; son Victor (Jane) of Kamloops; grandchildren: Emily (Ben) and Mary-ann (Craig); great grandchildren: Harlequin and Wren and extended family. Joseph came to Canada in 1953 from Holland, moving to Saskatchewan where he built a very successful construction company. In 1973 he moved to Kelowna where he enjoyed his retirement. There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Centre for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 5L3.
