JOYCE,Pearl "Louise": September 1, 1934 - May 1, 2015 Louise passed away at Penticton Hospital on May 1, 2015. Louise will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jerry; daughters, Marilyn (John), Diane, Cynthia (Brian) and son Michael (Trish). She was the proud grandmother of Greg (Malynda), Stephanie (Nathaniel), Chelsey (Andrew), Michael (Alaina), Matt, Trevor, Maddison and Alex. She will also be missed by her great grandchildren, Hannah, Quincy, Ethan, Gracia, Lily, Ava, Lyla and baby Crawford. Louise was predeceased by her father and mother (Gordon and Edna McLearn), her brother Donald and sister Carol Louise grew up amidst the golden wheat fields on her family's farm in Saskatchewan. Her family moved to Penticton in 1947 and immediately fell in love with the Okanagan Valley and lived here ever since. She married Gerald David Joyce on November 24, 1951. Louise was a long-time member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Naramata Arts Studio. She was an accomplished water color artist who loved flowers and nature. Her smile, courage and faith were paramount and she was instantly loved by everyone who met her. Louise devoted many hours of her life to numerous callings for service within her church. She will be greatly missed by many friends and family. "Celebration of Life" to be held on Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ LDS, 2946 S. Main St., Penticton, with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honour of Louise Joyce to the Southern Interior, BC Cancer Foundation, Kelowna, BC.
