Mary Frances Pasternak(Bodwell) was born in North Vancouver on October 20, 1928 to a pioneering North Vancouver family and resided there until moving to Penticton in 2008. She passed away in Penticton on May 1, 2015. Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lanny her sister Beverly Cliffe, her daughter Lea (Garry) Sutherland of Penticton, her son Jeff (Leslie) of North Vancouver, her grandchildren David, Jenny, Cameron, Meagan and Amanda and her siamese cat Cindy. Mary was predeceased by her sister Louise Monkhouse in 2006. A kind and caring individual, Mary worked as a florist and enjoyed gardening and spending time in the Cariboo at the family cabin. A private family burial will take place at the old Clinton Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Caskey, Dr. Tatebe, Dr. Marshall and all those involved in Mary's care over the last few years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Lung Association.
