JANZ, Verner John Henry: June 20, 1942 May 14, 2015 Known for his huge heart, wide smile, and great laugh, Verner passed away peacefully on May 14th, 2015 after a stubborn battle against Alzheimer's disease. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Wendy; his children Vern, Steve (Fatima), Nick (Min), and Christine (Adrian); his grandchildren Daryk, Brandon, Ashlyn, Evan, and Jimmy, numerous members of his extended and close-knit family and many friends. Sadly predeceased by: his parents, Waldemar and Mary, brother Wayne, sister Eva, daughter in law Brenda, and grandson Shon. Verner will be remembered for his great joy of life, warmest hugs, and his delightful sense of humour. He filled up a room when he entered and left us better when he parted. Thank you to the staff of Dr. Andrews Pavilion and Trinity Care Centre, Dr. A. Bannerman, and Dr. C. Wren for their excellent care during his lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the summer. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of B.C.
