MEHRER, ROBERT (BOB) It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Bob Mehrer, 63 years old, of Naramata, on Saturday, Aug. 31st, 2013 Bob was born and spent his youth in Medicine Hat, Alberta. As a teenager he and his family moved to Lethbridge, Alta. where me met and married Heather in 1969. He and Heather moved directly to Naramata where they have spent their entire married life of 44 years. Bob worked for many years at General Coach and Okanagan RV Manufacturers. After the closure of Okanagan, Bob started his own company, Interior RV, where he designed and built Snowbird and Snowriver truck campers. This was one of his greatest sources of pride and he often remarked that he and his crew built "the best camper on the market". He was an avid outdoors man who lived for fishing, hunting, golfing and mostly being in the mountains above Naramata. He was a great story teller and joker and his laughter will be missed by many. He is survived by wife, Heather of Naramata, daughters, Rene and Melanie of Istanbul, Turkey, mother, Shirley Mehrer of Penticton, brothers Ken (Beth) Mehrer and Mark (Rhonda) Mehrer of Penticton and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at Columbia Hall, 455 Ellis Ave., Naramata on Sunday, Sept. 8th at 2 PM. Sandy Stickney officiating. In lieu of flowers please bring a memory or story about Bob as he would love to be remembered with laughter.
