It is with very heavy hearts that the Bischoff family announces the sudden passing of Alan Blair Bischoff, on August 1st, 2015. Alan was born in Montreal in 1942 and came to British Columbia in 1964. He graduated with a Geophysics Degree from UBC in the 1970s. While living in Kelowna, Al had many careers including being a long time transit driver and businessman. Al enjoyed his life to the max right up until the week before he passed. He and Chris had just returned from a wonderful trip to Europe including a cruise to Norway, one of the many adventures and travel they enjoyed together. Al loved animals, hiking, and spending time with his many family and friends. He was an Honourary Life Member of Rotary, Morningside Club and he was proud to have had 34 years of perfect attendance. He loved Rotary and all its ideals and he visited clubs in many places all over the world. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 49 years, Chris, oldest son Tom and daughters Jaimie and Emily and their mother Meg, Second son Phil (Cheryl) and children Charlie, Lucy and Chloe, and his treasured only daughter Jamie Walsh and children TJ, Braedyn and Alexa. He is also survived by his loving sisters Elizabeth and Nancy and their families, and Chris's brothers Bob (Sue) Harvey, Roly (Jan) Harvey and their families. Alan was predeceased by his parents Carl and Janet Bischoff, and in April 2015 by his sister Susan of Nova Scotia. A Celebration of Alan's life will be held at the First United Church,721 Bernard Ave, Kelowna BC on Saturday August 8 at 10:00 am. The family wishes to extend our thanks to the caring staff of 4B at KGH for their concern and assistance.
