In loving memory of PATRICIA (PAT) TOMREN March 17, 1937 - September 2, 2013 Surrounded by family, Pat passed away peacefully on September 2, 2013. Pat is survived by her daughter, Ingrid Zaffino (Jim) and grandchildren, Brittany Griffith (Ryan), Erik Hoglund and Kristina Zaffino and her little dog, Molly. Sadly predeceased by her husband Axsel, son Marc and daughter Loreen. Pat was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She married Axsel in 1957 and moved to Vancouver Island and lived the life of a fisherman's wife. They moved to North Delta in 1967 where she became very involved with her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, and enjoyed many close friendships. Pat volunteered extensively with the Canadian Cancer Society and other organizations. In 1996 they retired to Summerland and lived there until Axsel passed in 2006. Pat then moved to Penticton to be closer to her daughter, Ingrid. She truly loved it and said moving to the Okanagan was the best decision they had made. She was a talented seamstress, quilter, cook, gardener and painter. She was a passionate traveller and was able to see most of the world. The most important thing in her life was her family. Pat always showed an interest in whatever was happening, wanted to lend a hand, encourage or support in any way she could. Finally in peace and forever in our hearts. We love you Mom. A Celebration of Pat's Life will be held at Parkview Funeral Home 1258 Main Street, Penticton, on Saturday, September 14th at 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Moog & Friends Hospice House, 1701 Government Street, Penticton or the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to the family through providencefuneralhomes.com
