WAIGHORN, George Howard November 12, 1929 - September 7, 2013 Passed away peacefully at Central Okanagan Hospice House, with his daughter and son-in-law by his side, after a valiant battle with cancer and C.O.P.D. Born in Winnipeg, MB, George attended St. Paul's College and was a Korean War Veteran. He loved his family, camping in the wilderness, always saying "Beautiful Fire", and enjoyed playing Bingo. George and Barbara were inseparable, always together. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Barbara, son-in-law Don Ernst, his siblings; Rita Bell, Art Waighorn, Dorothy O'Brien and his two cats Pepper & Bailey. Sadly, he was predeceased by his wife Doris in 1972, his parents Ernst & Florence Waighorn, his brother Norman Waighorn and his two dogs Sheba & Porsche. A Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday September 20, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2547 Hebert Road, West Kelowna, BC V4T 2J6, and then laid to rest at 2:00 P.M., Friday September 20, 2013 at the Westbank Cemetery.
