URE, LESLIE JOHN Born, July 6, 1936 in Penticton; passed away November 22, 2013 in Penticton in his 77th year at Moog Hospice after suffering a sudden stroke. Les was the son of Kaleden Pioneers, John and Anne Ure, and attended school at Kaleden and Penticton. He had a varied working career that included working as a train man for the CPR out of Penticton, teaching school for 12 years in Penticton and then becoming a financial advisor before retiring August 29, 2001. Les is survived by his wife, Audrey; daughter, Cathy (Harold) Lacey; son, John; daughter, Tracey (Dave) Marcy; daughter, Audrey Rossi; son, Jim (Tanya); grandchildren, Jerid, Dorothy, Raymond, Christina, Joe, Mitchell, Brianna and Brook. He is also survived by brother, David and sisters, Jean and Margery and many nieces and nephews. A reception will be held Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Everden Rust Funeral Services (1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton) at 11:00 a.m. The family wishes to thank the nurses at Penticton Hospital and Hospice for their compassionate care.
