MULLINS, Inez Nora Inez Nora Mullins passed away peacefully November 30th, 2013 at the age of 83. She is survived by her sons Terry, Alex and Stephen. Inez was born in Montreal 1930. In her early years, Inez faced a lot of hardship, living through the Great Depression and the war years of WWII. The silver lining to this was that Inez developed a strength of character that was apparent to everyone who knew her, as well as a good sense of humour in the face of adversity. In the years after the war, Inez worked at Canadair as a clerk, where she eventually met the love of her life, Edward James Mullins, whom she married in 1954. Together they raised three sons in Montreal, and later in Ottawa, where they moved to in 1975. Inez re-entered the workplace soon after the move to Ottawa, and worked as a civil servant for CMHC and later at National Defence HQ. After she and her husband retired, they bought a home in Kelowna and lived there happily for the rest of their lives. Inez was a loving mother and wife who had a sharp mind and a great sense of humour. She loved cats, knitting, sewing, travelling, and most of all, spending time with her husband Jim. She will be greatly missed by her sons and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at 12:30 pm at the chapel at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 5V8.
