BOON, Michael "Mike" January 21, 1930 - January 5, 2014 Our beloved husband, father and friend, Mike passed away after a long journey with vascular dementia. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Frances, his children Rick (Adrienne), Sandy (Merrilea) and his grand-puppy A.J. Also surviving Mike are his brother Justyn (Joyce), sisters-in-law Clara Matear and Elsie Lauzon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank and acknowledge their Kelowna family: Mike, Val, Patrick, Jacqueline, Jimmy and Michelle Bobyn for their years of love and friendship. A special thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at Cottonwoods Extended Care and to Dr. Paul Hart. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Garnier Catholic Church, 3645 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna, BC on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 10:00 am.
