WHITE, ROBERT DUNCAN February 5, 1926 - January 6, 2014 Bert passed away peacefully. Sadly missed by his loving wife of 59 years Sheila, survived by his brother Sid, children Joyce (Eric), Janet (John), Donald (Valerie), grandchildren Gavin, Fraser and Fiona Titley, Caely White, Colin and Aislin Fulton, Sarah Fuson, Chantal White, Joe and Tiffany Gatt. Predeceased by sisters Eleanor (Cyr) and Shirley (Ingram). Long time Summerland resident and dedicated Penticton High School teacher for over 30 years, Bert coached a provincial high school basketball championship team and was also active in baseball and hockey. He loved helping others, family gatherings, playing bridge and long walks with his dogs. He was always kind, principled and hard-working. He will be dearly missed. Memorial service to be held at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Summerland on Saturday Jan. 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm. There will also be a celebration of life on April 26th, 2014.
