DE BOURCIER (King), Olive Joyce May 11, 1933 - Jan. 6, 2014 Passed away peacefully and without pain on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Hospice House. Born in Cumberland County, New Jersey to Baptist Minister Ernest King and Ethel Vera (Allan), Olive grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Calgary, Alberta before moving to BC to study Social Work at UBC. Olive loved interacting with her clients and her colleagues in her vocation as a Social Worker in Kelowna/Rutland, Port Alberni and in New Westminster (where she worked as a supervisor for the Delta area). Olive is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dave; sons: David (Aline) of St. Albert, AB; Colin of Kelowna and by daughters: Myung of Kelowna and Noreen of Jindabyne, Australia; as well as by grandchildren: Makayla and Monika of Kelowna; Olivia, Scott and Luke of St. Albert, AB and Akira, Scout and Indiah Lou of Australia. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna.
