MILLAR, LORNA DAISY MARGARET August 23, 1916 - January 13, 2014 Lorna passed away peacefully in her sleep in Penticton, B.C. at the age of 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Jack Millar. Jack was a Winnipeg Police Officer and walked the beat for many years. Lovingly remembered by sisters, Mary Schobinger and Evelyn Huseby of Denver Co; nieces, Coral (Alex) Brown, Penticton, B.C; Mary Lou (Steve) Sumieka, Federal Way, Wa; Julie (Mike) Wagner, Green Valley, AZ; and Marilyn Sutherland, Edmonton, AB; nephews, Michael Huseby (Betsy), Englewood, CO, Graham Huseby (Sue), Avon, Co, Gordon (Joan) Sutherland, Cape Breton Island, NS. Predeceased by nephew John Sutherland. In her younger years Lorna worked at Eaton's in the hosiery department. She was a member of Rivercrest United Church and West St. Paul's Curling Club in Manitoba. Lorna came to Penticton 10 years ago and lived at Sun Village and more recently at Haven Hill Retirement Home and attended Bethel Pentecostal Church. A celebration of Lorna's life will be held this summer in Penticton. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army, 2463 South Main Street, Penticton, B.C.
