SINE, MICHELE May 25, 1951 - July 15, 2013 Michele Sine passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the daughter of Odette and the late Willem Burgers. Michele will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her especially her loving family; daughter, Lisa Sine; her sisters, Karin Leeson (Ted), Ingrid Murray (Mel); her brother, Pat Burgers; her special nieces, Cheryl-Lynn Townsin (Troy) and Angela Gatzka (Jared) and their beautiful children; her mother-in-law, Shirley Sine and brother-in-law, Bob Sine. She was predeceased by her husband Gary on November 10, 2011. Michele was a long time resident of Penticton where she followed her passion for teaching and was well respected by her colleagues. Michele's kindness and welcoming nature will be missed by her family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm at St. Ann's Catholic Church (1296 Main St., Penticton). Michele always wanted to give back to the community so In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to either: the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation, Penticton Secondary School Scholarship & Bursary Fund, SPCA, or the Okanagan College Bursary Fund.
