McKINLEY, LORRAINE RUTH: The family is sad to announce that Lorraine Ruth McKinley (nee Boe) passed away February 11th, 2014. She was born in Minnesota July 10, 1926, the youngest of 9 siblings. When she was four years old, the family relocated to Debolt, Alta where she grew up and met her future husband Lyall. During their 55 years together, they lived in Grand Prairie, Winnipeg, and Burstall, Sask. before retiring to Penticton in 1986. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Lyall in 2001, son Terry in 1999 and son Gordie in 1981. She is lovingly remembered by sister, Alice Finch; son, Ron (Melanie); granddaughter, Kimberly (Matt); grandsons, David (Sheila) and Stephen. Lorraine cherished her 5 great grandchildren Jamie, Joel, Laurynn, Russell & Stella; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family including, Erica and Zephrin. The family would like to thank all of the nurses at PRH who cared for Lorraine in her last month, especially those on the Rehab Unit. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Daniel Killian. A Celebration of Life will be held at the clubhouse of Caravilla Estates Senior Park, 3105 S Main St., Penticton on Saturday March 1 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA.
