JOHNSTON, Kathleen J. Passed away on 20 February 2014 at KGH at the age of 80 years. Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her children: Barbra, Sandra (Kent) Darrington, Ian (Thara) and Ron (Donna) Johnston; grandchildren: Kassie, Trisha, Jennifer (Mark) Baumann, David and Shawn Darrington, Taryn, Hailey and Kalyn Johnston; great grandchildren: Tori, Hunter and Chloe Baumann and Fayette Darrington; siblings: Donald Pittendreigh and Nan Gurr; plus nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathy was predeceased by her loving husband Walter O. Johnston and son Barry. Three sisters: Daisy, Isabel and Norah. Kathy found joy in life, her family and working with her hands to create beautiful handiwork. The summers would find her on the golf course, winters at the curling rink. Her quick humour, easy laugh and willing spirit made her a joy to be around as her countless friends and family can attest. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 25 at the LDS Chapel at 2170 McDougall Road, West Kelowna, BC.
