WESTEN, George It is with love and pride that our family remembers George Westen, who passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014. His life, spanning three continents and more than 91 years, was rich and filled with love and adventure. George was driven by his curiosity and thirst for knowledge and he loved to laugh and captivate with his fascinating stories. He was a man of many strengths and interests: a love of music, culture and history among them. George's extraordinary romance with his wife Rachel remained his greatest passion for over 62 years. He leaves his beloved wife, Rachel, and his three loving daughters, Constance Dickson (Bruce), Linda Lunney (Neil), and Amanda Westen. He was much cherished by his grandchildren, Fraser, Jordana, and Michael. He is survived by his brother Alfred (Naomi) and his cousin Lily (Zdenek) and families. The family extends our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Steinruck for George's extraordinary care and to the exceptional nursing staff at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) emergency, ambulatory overflow and 4E, especially Paige.
