KOPF, PAUL beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 1, 2014, in his room at the Summerland Seniors Village. He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Alvina "Win", his daughter Linda (John); his son, Paul (Alain); his grandsons, Andy (Meagan) and Chris (Crystal); and six great-grandchildren who called him Grandpa Paul; Broedy, Aiden, Cadence, Grayson, Declan & Lowan. Paul was the last member of his immediate family; predeceased by his father John, mother Margaret, brothers Ted, Harold & Gerald and his sister Ev. He leaves many other family members and friends. Paul was born in Melville, SK on November 6, 1924. He served in WW II in Holland and Italy, came home and became a bricklayer. Paul married Win on April 16th, 1949, moved to Calgary and started his family. Paul worked hard all of his life and loved retirement as well. Many trips to Ottawa to see Linda & family, down to their trailer home in Scottsdale, Arizona and, as a very proud veteran, his Regiment's Reunions were all wonderful additions to his retirement. Moves to Saskatoon, Vernon, Penticton and, finally, Summerland brought his fulfilling life to a close. There will be a Celebration of Life service to honour Paul in September of 2014. In lieu of flowers, we respectfully ask you to make a donation to the Altziemer's Society of Canada. Cards and letters can be sent to Win or email to paulkopf56@yahoo.ca. We wish to send sincere thanks to the staff of C/D Main floor unit for of their loving care for our husband and dad. Condolences may be directed to the family through providencefuneralhomes.com
