GREEN, KENNETH September 17, 1931 - March 24, 2014 Passed away peacefully with Family by his side following a battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Carol; his daughter, Maryanna (Richard); his son, John (Kenna) and their mother, Wendy Lilley, his Grandchildren, Anna, Isabella, Julia and Daneille, as well as his siblings, Bill, Jack and Patricia. He had many close friends and relatives including the Sechelt family and three adult step children, Keeley (Jamie), Kerry (Tom), Bonnie (Wade) and their children. He was predeceased by his son, Patrick, and his brother in law, Timothy Yates. Ken loved his family more than anything and spent a good portion of his life being a sports Dad and Granddad. He had a long and happy career as an Airlines Agent and especially loved working for CP Air. He had a brief career as a semi pro boxer and ran a boxing club. He ran his first marathon at the age of 68 and finished last with a police escort and huge applause. He loved his Toronto Maple Leafs, the CFL, Corona Beer, Tim's Coffee, golfing, running, volleyball socials, good home cooked food, short trips and his dog Billie. His sense of humour was quirky and legendary. A Prayer Service will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 1296 Main St., Penticton on Thursday, March 27 at 6:00 p.m. with a Funeral Mass being held Friday, March 28, at 1:00 p.m. also at St. Ann's.
