WISEMAN, Charlotte Sue Passed away in Kelowna, BC on Thursday, April 3, 2014. Sue was born on April 17, 1934, in Chillicothe, Ohio to Garnold and Ruth Uhrig. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Andrew Wiseman, and her sister, Lavonne Bowsher. Sue is survived by her son, Jeff (Christine), of Wilmington, North Carolina, her son, John (Richelle), of Calgary, Alberta, her son, Joel (Melinda), of Kelowna, BC, her daughter, Diana Stanyer, of Calgary, Alberta, her brothers, John and David (Laura) Uhrig, and her sister-in-law, Olive Wiseman, all of Chillicothe, Ohio, and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Wiseman, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. At age 18, Sue married Bob on September 14, 1952, and within six years they had four children. Sue excelled as a dedicated homemaker, wife and mother. She and Bob left Ohio in 1967 for their great adventure to Prince George, BC. Although she missed her family in Ohio, she kept in constant contact through cards, visits and letters. For fifty years she was Bob's constant companion, first mate and camp cook on many lake and ocean fishing expeditions, as well as hunting trips into the wilds of British Columbia. Life was good to them, allowing Sue and Bob to travel extensively on business trips and vacations to all parts of the world, including Japan, Hawaii, Scandinavia, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Greece and North Africa, as well as most of the 50 states. She had an enormous collection of photo albums and diaries which she enjoyed to her final days. Although dementia colored Sue's final years, it failed to erase her social and gregarious disposition. The family is thankful for the kindness and care provided by Sun Pointe Village and Home Instead Senior Care, as well as the first responders. A memorial service and interment for Sue will be held in Chillicothe, Ohio, later this spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. at www.alzheimerbc.org Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com 250-860-7077.
