PHELPS, Ronald (Don) Gordon Passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the age of 80. Survived by his wife Dorothy, five children: John (Celina) of New York, Dean (Angie), Bill, Laura (Pelle) all of Victoria, BC, and David (Ramona) of Kelowna, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild, brother Collin Johnsen of Vancouver and special friend Carol Williams. After graduating from UBC Don came to Kelowna in 1962 and opened a law practice with two graduate friends. He had a long and distinguished career in law, retiring in 2006. Don will be remembered for his excellent sports ability, especially in squash, tennis and racquetball, his bridge skills and his long membership at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club as well as the Kelowna Club. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 4 - 6 pm at Springfield Funeral Home's Family Center, 2020 Springfield Road.
