JONES, Michael David Oct. 31, 1954 - Feb. 15, 2014 Mike Jones passed away in Calgary on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the age of 59 years. Mike was born in Walton-On-Thames, England on October 31, 1954. Mike moved to Edmonton in 1977 and then Calgary in 1980 where he resided before moving to Penticton, BC in 2007 and then back to Calgary in 2009. Mike was passionate about Helping Others, Camping, Kayaking, Travelling, and writing (publishing under the assumed name of Chris James). Mike is lovingly remembered by his brothers Richard Jones (Jane) and Robin Jones (Victoria), and sons Adam Jones (Leah) and Cameron Jones. Although he will not remember his grandfather, Lachlan Jones made Mike's eyes light up with joy every time they saw each other. A celebration of life will be arranged in Penticton, BC at a later date once family travel arrangements can be made.
