FULTON, BETTY ELSIE MAY Betty Elsie May Fulton, died January 28, 2014 surrounded by her three children and the caring staff at Trinity Care Centre in Penticton. This brave woman moved with her husband, Stanley Fulton and three young children from England to Canada in 1966. She opened the first library in Mackenzie in the basement of her home. The family moved to Penticton in 1968 where Betty lived a very active and involved life. Betty had foster children for several years and established a Crisis Line in her home. She was the secretary for St. Saviour's Anglican Church. She owned Easy Ceramics during the late 1970's and taught ceramics with wit and enthusiasm. Betty was known as the Dragon Lady which matched her fiery sense of humour. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Fulton, in 1989. She is survived by her three children, Janet Fulton (Jeff Daly) of Clive, Iowa, Penny Holmwood (Jesse Malott) of Penticton, and Stuart Fulton of Victoria, 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 11 at Everden Rust Funeral Chapel (1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton) at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
