HILL, Therese Marie (nee Rochford) Aug 15, 1928 - May 14, 2014 Therese passed away peacefully on May 14, 2014. Predeceased by her parents, husband David, daughter Deirdre and three brothers, she is survived by her sons, Andrew (Karen), Terence, Matthew (Kate) and 4 grandchildren, three sisters, a brother and numerous nieces and nephews. Therese was born in Edenbridge, England to Sidney and Marie Rochford. She always enjoyed being outdoors and exploring the world around her. Her favorite memories were the hikes she did with her hiking club, The Himalayan Hopefuls, vacations to England and the drives she took throughout the Okanagan and Vancouver areas. Many thanks to the wonderful friends and staff of Chatsworth Retirement Home. Her family is very grateful for the dedication, compassion and caring that has been shown to Therese by the staff of the renal units of KGH, her wonderful doctors, Dr. M. Thomasse and Dr. E. Welsh, and the staff at the Hospice House. A memorial reception will be held at Everden Rust Funeral Home on Friday, May 16, 2014, at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to either the Kelowna General Hospital, Renal Unit, or the Kidney Foundation of Canada may be given. Interment will take place in Surrey at a later date.
