ALEXANDER, Marjorie June 1919 - 2014 Born June 30, 1919, Marjorie JUNE Alexander passed away at Foothills Country Hospice on May 23, 2014. She was predeceased by her first husband Grenville; her second husband Tom; twelve brothers and sisters and daughter Dorcean. June is survived by 3 sons - Fred (Joanne) of Saskatoon; Tom (Heather) of Burnaby; and Bud (Kathy) of Calgary. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mom had a full life. She loved to needlepoint and created many beautiful pictures. She sang in the church choir and helped in the women's auxiliary group for many years. She loved to play the organ at home. She was always up for a mean game of bridge. Most of all, mom loved to laugh. Mischievous in nature, she loved a good joke whether it was one played by her or played on her. All in all, she enjoyed life. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank all the staff at Symphony Senior Living, Evergreen; the doctors, nurses and staff at Calgary South Health Campus, Ward 66, for their kind, loving care of mom. We would also like to thank the nurses, staff and volunteers at Foothills Country Hospice for their caring and compassion for both mom and family during her final hours. A Memorial Service will be held in Kelowna, BC at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Foothills Country Hospice Society, PO Box 274, Stn Main, Okotoks, AB T1S 1A5 or a charity of your choice. Messages of remembrance may be left for the family at www.southcalgaryfuneralcentre.ca SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE and CREMATORIUM (at Lake Fraser Gate) Telephone: 403-297-0711 Honoured Provider of Dignity Memorial.
