PILKEY, Gladys Was born July 26th, 1920 in Stavely, Alberta and passed away suddenly on May 30th, 2014 at the age of 93 years. Gladys married Joe Novak September 1st, 1943, they had three sons Wesley, Merv and Brian. Gladys met Keith Thomson in 2006 and has been very happy these last eight years with him in Kelowna. Gladys was a school teacher for many years. She taught in Calgary and was last teaching in Trout Creek, Summerland, where she taught for 18 years. Gladys was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for many years. She is sadly missed and remembered by Keith, Wes (Luella), Merv (Barb), eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. A Celebration of Gladys' Life will be held from the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna on Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at 10:30 AM.
