True to his Irish roots, Thomas (Tom) Connelly left this world on St Patrick's Day 2015. He was taken too early from his loved ones but his life was full and abundant. Born in Edmonton in 1944 to parents Thomas Sr. And Noreen Connelly, Tom had a very active youth and was involved in many sports. After finishing university Tom worked in the family business Connelly McKinley Funeral Home before heading to Calgary to set his own path. In 1977 he moved with his young family to Kelowna to own and operate a Cessna Aircraft dealership where he combined his love of flying with business. Tom was very involved with family pursuits and community activities. He had a particular passion for coaching soccer which he did for many years. He satisfied his adventurous spirit by ski racing, waterskiing and sailing his Laser in the wildest of winds. Tom's work history was as multifaceted as his life and included a number of business ventures and careers. He finished his professional life at BMO Nesbitt Burns as an investment advisor. Tom is survived by his wife Joan, children Ryan (Michelle), Patrick (Alison) and Kathleen and four beautiful grandchildren as well as sisters Anne (David), Kathleen (Dennis), Susan (Jim) and step-sister Linda.
